Little Meadow, Loughton, Milton Keynes:

Having been invited by Milton Keynes Development Partnership, Adrian Morrow Architects partnered with Richard Green of Deluxe Developers Ltd to prepare a feasibility study and a tender for the heavily wooded Little Meadow site in Loughton, Milton Keynes. Deluxe Developers specialise in high end, nil bill, carbon negative, sustainable residential projects. Our brief was to design two houses on the site – one of them was to be large and South facing so that it could be provided with a very large energy generating photovoltaic array. The second house, was to be smaller and was to include a car port to suit the parking requirement. Vehicular circulation was restricted to the Northern end of the site with a view to retaining as many of the significant existing trees as possible. To the South of the site, trees were removed to allow the photovoltaic array to function.
